Terms and Conditions
1. Estimates and Quotes:
- Free estimates will be provided upon request.
- Once an estimate or quote has been accepted, a mutually agreed upon date for commencement of work will be provided. However, please note that due to potential high demand, immediate availability may not always be possible. We will endeavor to accommodate our clients’ needs to the best of our ability.
2. Validity and Payments:
- Estimates are valid for a period of 30 days, as the cost of materials may fluctuate.
- Accepted estimates or quotes exceeding £5,000 will require a 20% deposit or full payment of material costs upfront, depending on the nature of the job.
- Invoices will be both issued and must be settled upon completion of the job
3. Commercial Projects:
- Payment terms for commercial projects will be discussed separately.
4. Additional Work and Materials:
- Any additional work or materials requested beyond the scope of the original estimate will be subject to a separate estimate, which must be accepted before work continues.
5. VAT and Late Payments:
- All estimates and invoices will clearly indicate the cost of Value Added Tax (VAT).
- Under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998, Pineline Building Services Ltd reserves the right to charge interest and compensation at the current statutory rate on any outstanding balances past the invoice due date until the debt is settled in full.
6. Client-Supplied Materials:
- If clients are providing their own materials, such as bathroom suites or kitchen packs, said materials must be available onsite on the agreed start date of the project. Failure to comply may result in delays and additional charges.
7. Cancellations and Liability:
- In the event of project cancellation by the client at any stage, the client will be liable for all direct and indirect expenses incurred by Pineline Building Services Ltd, including but not limited to, expenses related to employees, contractors, loss of earnings, and any other associated costs.
8. Warranty and Defects:
- Pineline Building Services Ltd will address and rectify any defects within 12 months of project completion.
- Pineline Building Services Ltd will not be held liable for defects arising from materials chosen by the client.
9. Weather Conditions:
- Weather conditions may impact the timely completion of certain projects.
10. Client Responsibilities:
Pineline Building Services Ltd assumes that the client has made all the relevant preparations and sequence programming in regard to ensuring that all areas are ready for our works to commence on the date agreed. This should include:
- The means of entry and exit to the working area must be, as far as reasonably practicable, safe and without risks to health.
- Access to welfare facilities, on-site parking, and available on-site services, such as mains electricity and a water supply, to be used without charge.
- All and any materials being supplied by the client are readily available on site and without delay, on the exact date.
- Any codes/key safes provided.
